{"id":3270,"date":"2022-05-12T14:20:52","date_gmt":"2022-05-12T13:20:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/teleplanforsberg.com\/?p=3270"},"modified":"2022-07-07T13:54:56","modified_gmt":"2022-07-07T12:54:56","slug":"marine-range-tracking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/teleplanforsberg.com\/index.php\/2022\/05\/12\/marine-range-tracking\/","title":{"rendered":"Marine Range Tracking"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Hardware and Firmware developed for remote and connected precision tracking for up to 20 vessels on a 20-mile test range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirement<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tracking system supplied for a military test and evaluation range on the north west coast of Scotland<\/li><li>The system required all units to communicate with each other and receive DGPS or RTK corrections from a base station and was required to work over the air up to 20km at sea state 4<\/li><li>Each rover unit was required to have the option to control other units, and the master unit could control the system parameters<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solution<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We determined that the task could be completed using a MICROpod receiver running specifically designed bespoke firmware<\/li><li>The MICROpod was connected to a Microhard Spectra MHX320 radio operating on a restricted frequency to broadcast each rover\u2019s positional information, quality status and built in test<\/li><li>Command and configuration controls were issued to configure each unit so that a single expert operator is able to configure and control all units from a local or remote location<\/li><li>The full system was built into a waterproof (IP67) Pelicase which was modified for use without needing to open the case<\/li><li>The system was delivered in 2009 and remains in operation, tracking assets across the range.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Extended Capability<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Our EDGE-NET system is not limited to a maritime environment and has subsequently been used for vehicle and aircraft tracking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"450\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/teleplanforsberg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Marine-Range-Tracking.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3274\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teleplanforsberg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Marine-Range-Tracking.jpg 450w, https:\/\/teleplanforsberg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Marine-Range-Tracking-300x267.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hardware and Firmware developed for remote and connected precision tracking for up to 20 vessels<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":3278,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[5,6],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-3270","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-defence","category-marine"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v26.6 (Yoast SEO v27.4) -
