{"id":3337,"date":"2022-05-19T14:05:32","date_gmt":"2022-05-19T13:05:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/teleplanforsberg.com\/?p=3337"},"modified":"2022-06-14T12:13:55","modified_gmt":"2022-06-14T11:13:55","slug":"video-navigation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/teleplanforsberg.com\/index.php\/2022\/05\/19\/video-navigation\/","title":{"rendered":"Port Video Navigation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enabling precise heading and positioning for cranes when GNSS is unavailable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirement<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A major UK port required a system that would provide the heading and precise positioning of a Rubber Tyre Gantry (RTG) crane<\/li><li>Due to the environment the crane also suffered from frequent GPS outages and therefore the system was required to provide positioning when GPS was unavailable<\/li><li>The system was to provide the operator with a method to detect obstacles in the path of the RTG.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solution<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Forsberg developed the system to assist the RTG operator by providing a visual camera reference of the RTG in relation to a driveline<\/li><li>Two cameras mounted on each side of the vehicle continually monitor the direction, angle and accuracy of the RTG to the driveline by image processing techniques<\/li><li>The Northing and Easting position derived from these images are then compared with given system parameters<\/li><li>Any RTG deviation from these parameters will be visually displayed to the operator via the traffic light display screen in the cabin<\/li><li>By interfacing the system with the on-board RTG \u201cAssisted Steering Module\u201d it provided a seamless reliable fall-back in the event of poor GPS data<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" height=\"550\" src=\"https:\/\/teleplanforsberg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Video_Navigation_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3345\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teleplanforsberg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Video_Navigation_2.jpg 850w, https:\/\/teleplanforsberg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Video_Navigation_2-300x194.jpg 300w, https:\/\/teleplanforsberg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Video_Navigation_2-768x497.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Enabling precise heading and positioning for cranes when GNSS is unavailable.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":3338,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[13,17],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-3337","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-logistics","category-transport"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v26.6 (Yoast SEO v27.7) -
