The team at Forsberg are proud to support great apprentice’s past, present and future and to work alongside fantastic apprentice training providers. To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we’ve shone the spotlight on our current apprentices to celebrate how far they’ve come and the exciting journey that lays ahead for them here at Forsberg.
Ellis and Amy are both from our Accounts team but are at very different stages of their apprenticeships. Our Finance Apprentice, Ellis, is at the very beginning of his journey whilst his manager Amy, our Financial Analyst, is completing the final stages of her qualification which will assist her in achieving her current career goals.
Ellis joined Forsberg in September 2020 and is currently studying towards his AAT level 3 qualification, provided by Kaplan’s apprenticeship scheme, which he is due to complete in December 2021. Once this qualification is gained, Ellis plans to begin his CIMA qualification, with the full support and encouragement from his team and the company.

“I have aspired to be an accountant for a long time and I’m finding the training interesting. I was absolutely over the moon when I secured this apprenticeship, as it is by far the best opportunity I have been offered. Being an apprentice is so different to the typical route of University, but earning while learning, and being faced with real life situations and huge responsibilities is a great way to learn and reach your goals.”

Our Financial Analyst Amy is currently completing the CIMA professional Qualification also through Kaplan. She has already completed the CIMA certificate in Business Accounting whilst at Forsberg, progressing onto the CIMA Professional Qualification. With only 4 more exams to go, she is set to complete the qualification by November this year, becoming a CIMA qualified Chartered Management Accountant.
“It has been an intense journey over the last 4 years with one exam per quarter so lots of studying! However, it will all be worth it when I am CIMA qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant. Studying has been extremely beneficial to my work at Forsberg, increasing my knowledge more and more after each class, allowing me to implement new learnings to help improve the business. My Apprenticeship has really helped excel my career. Within the 4 years I have worked with Forsberg I have become a member of the SMT, a key leader of the finance team, and the manager of our new Finance Apprentice, Ellis. I can’t wait to be fully qualified and continue to develop my career at Forsberg.”
