A Shared Journey of Growth and Capability

As we celebrate 30 years as a NovAtel (part of Hexagon) dealer, it is also an opportunity to reflect on the people and milestones that have shaped that journey.

Our relationship with NovAtel began in 1996 with Charles Forsberg, when Forsberg Services (as it was at the time) was awarded dealership status, bringing world-leading GNSS technology into our portfolio and opening up new technical and commercial opportunities. That decision laid the foundations for decades of system integration, testing, and operational deployment across demanding environments.

Over the years, NovAtel technology has underpinned many of our key developments, from early precision GNSS integrations through to today’s assured PNT and NAVWAR-resilient solutions. As capabilities evolved, so too did our role, expanding from product supply into engineering, testing, and operational support.

“Our partnership with Teleplan Forsberg over the past 30 years reflects a shared commitment to delivering reliable positioning solutions, and creating long-term value for customers,” said Rick Blighton, Vice President, Global Aerospace & Defence Sales, Aerospace & Defence Division, Hexagon.
“We are proud to work alongside such a trusted partner, and look forward to building on this strong foundation in the years ahead.”

Teleplan Forsberg and NovAtel teams have long enjoyed a close working relationship, from testing the latest firmware upgrades and providing feedback on new designs, to joint product development, customer visits, and tackling PNT challenges together.

Having been part of Teleplan Forsberg throughout this development, our Managing Director, Chris Mayne, has seen the NovAtel relationship evolve first‑hand:

“During my time at Teleplan Forsberg, I have worked closely with many NovAtel team members. It has consistently been a strong example of collaboration, cooperation, and innovation. As people have progressed and our businesses have grown, the partnership has grown alongside them. From out-of-hours phone calls in the field to strategy discussions and networking events, we have shared many challenges and successes along the way — and it is always a pleasure to work with good people.”

Thirty years on, the partnership with NovAtel remains a cornerstone of our technical capability and a key enabler of how we support customers today.

This milestone is not just about longevity, it reflects progress, expertise, and continuity, built over time by people, partnerships, and a shared commitment to pushing technological boundaries.
